The summer travel season is upon us, and it’s shaping up to be a busy one.   • Long lines at the main domestic security checkpoint are common. There’s a South checkpoint that usually requires a shorter wait.

  • Once you go through security, you can go from one end of the airport to the other using the Plane Train. It’s free to use and makes stops at each terminal for access to Baggage Claim and Ground Transportation. (There’s a walking path as well if you have extra time or simply want the exercise.)
  •  For Georgia residents departing from Hartsfield-Jackson, getting to the airport is usually the first leg of their trip. But alas, the South Parking deck renewal project began earlier this year, and construction has increased traffic and made it harder to find a spot. To get your travels off to a stress-free start, cross parking off your list as soon as you book your flight.
